2005 ONA conference in NYC

The 2005 Online News Association conference will be held Oct. 28-29 at the Hilton New York. More information will be posted on journalists.org and sent to members as it becomes available.

Anthony Moor will serve as conference chair and Jody Brannon will serve as vice chair.

Moor is Editor of OrlandoSentinel.com and was New Media Editor at the Rochester, N.Y., Democrat and Chronicle. He spent the go-go 90s at San Francisco's KRON-TV, an early adopter of convergence with its co-owned properties, the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGate. He was also the co-chair of the panels committee for the 2003 ONA conference and was a judge for the 2004 Online Journalism Awards.

Brannon, the executive producer for usatoday.com, is a cyberspace veteran of 10 years, starting in 1995 with washingtonpost.com. Earning her Maryland doctorate by studying online news, she teaches in American University’s MA program in interactive journalism and is a board member for J-Lab, the Institute for Interactive in Journalism. She has organized several regional ONA events in the Washington, D.C., area.

Jonathan Dube, the conference chair for the past two years and a board member, is taking over as the new ONA Membership Chair, overseeing plans for expanded regional events and member outreach.

Anyone interested in helping to organize regional events and activities should contact Dube at jdube@journalists.org

Anyone interested in helping out with the conference should contact Moor at AMoor@OrlandoSentinel.com

Anyone interested in being a sponsor or a vendor of the annual conference should contact ONA Executive Director Tom Regan at tregan@journalists.org
