The 2008 Online Journalism Awards are a comprehensive set of journalism prizes honoring excellence in Web journalism.
The Online Journalism Awards were launched in May 2000. The contest honors excellence in Internet journalism and is open to Web sites around the world. The judges will review entries in the following categories this year: Knight Public Service Award; General excellence in online journalism; breaking news; specialty journalism; enterprise journalism; service journalism; online commentary; creative use of the medium; student journalism.
In most cases, judges name four finalists, but in some categories name fewer.
Please note: The Contest will close on May 31, 2008. There will be no extensions.
